Major Plus WFA

The new MAJOR PLUS WFA tooth follows the mounting philosophy according to Prof. Albert Gerber, the palatal cusp of the upper 5th, 6th and 7th tooth occludes in the respective fossa of the lower 5th, 6th and 7th tooth; in the 4th tooth this occlusion is reversed, the vestibular cusp of the lower tooth occludes in the fossaof the upper 4th tooth. The term MAJOR PLUS WFA (Wide Functional Area) indicates the type of occlusion done during the mastication, when not only one point of contact is affected but a large functional areaof around 2 mm.

The occlusal tables respect the concept mortar and pestle. The wide fossa allows a large spectrum of occlusal contacts without interferences. MAJOR PLUS WFA teeth have such an high precision to reduce to the minimum any possible selective grinding made by the operator.

The MAJOR PLUS WFA tooth is available in the universal A1-D4 shade guide. The need to simplify and speed up the clinical and technical procedures, mantaining high quality standard, suggested the selection of three posterior moulds only: SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE, adaptable to any of the anterior MAJOR PLUS moulds.

The MAJOR PLUS WFA tooth is made of 4 resin layers : • neck • dentine • incisal • glazing. Neck and dentine are in acrylic resin in order to grant the maximum possible adhesion with the denture resin and give an high elasticity of the tooth. The incisal is made of composite material to guarantee

  • Very high hardness.
  • Optimal resistance to abrasion.
  • Excellent occlusal profiles.
  • Shades and moulds with natural appearance.
  • Superior shade stability.
  • Moulds developed according to Prof. Gerber theory.
